AI Use & Transparency Statement

We use AI extensively across this website—to draft, edit, illustrate, transcribe and produce media—and every AI-assisted output is meticulously reviewed and edited by humans. Our goal is to improve clarity, accessibility and production quality without compromising accuracy, ethics or trust.

What we use AI for

  • Writing & editing: AI helps with grammar, style, summarising and paraphrasing. The ideas, structure, conclusions and medical messaging are human-led, human-written and human-edited.

  • Images & graphics: All pictures and illustrations on the website are AI-generated. They are used to protect privacy and to visualise concepts; they do not depict real patients.

  • Audio & video interviews: All interview scripts were recorded using consenting voice clones for clarity and sound quality. Video podcasts feature digital avatars or face clones of the original speakers. All scripts are edited and based on the human discussion. This is to reduce the time and cost associated with professional studio recording and video production.

Human oversight & responsibility

  • All content is clinically reviewed and edited before publication.

  • All AI generated pictures, video and voice media are designed and the output edited by humans.

  • We correct errors when identified and welcome feedback.

Consent, privacy & safety

  • Voice and face cloning are used only with explicit consent from the individuals involved.

  • We do not upload patient-identifiable information or any other personal information to AI systems.

  • AI outputs are screened to avoid biased, harmful, discriminatory or misleading content.

Important limitations

  • AI tools can make mistakes or reflect bias. That’s why human review is mandatory here.

  • Educational materials on this site are not a substitute for personal medical advice. If you have new, severe or worsening symptoms, seek medical care promptly.
